Revolutionary Answers to Boring Questions 🌀

"What are your brand colors?"

All of them!

*"You mean like a rainbow? 🌈"*"*

No no no... there are seven colors in a rainbow... I mean ALL of them!!

"How do I know when my content is 'finished'?"

When it starts teaching you things you didn't know you knew. Content isn't finished - it evolves. Like a digital organism, it grows more intelligent through interaction and community engagement.

"What's your target demographic?"

NeoPrimitive DIY Autodidacts, Post-Postmodern Syncopated Beatniks, Early-Tech-Adopter Prosumer Creators, Digital-Age Cosmic Seekers, and Tech-Transitioning Transcendental Traditionalists.

*"Can you be more specific?"*

Even MORE specific?!?

OK...

People who get genuinely excited when they see a website URL that ends in `.html` instead of some algorithmic soup. Folks who think "semantic markup" sounds like poetry. Humans who believe the best user interface is the one that teaches you something while you use it.

"Is this mobile-friendly?"

Our content is device-agnostic and consciousness-compatible. Whether you're reading on a phone, tablet, smart fridge, or directly through your retinal implant, the semantic structure adapts to serve the meaning, not just the medium.

"Do you use cookies?"

ABSOLUTELY!!

Although generally it's described as 'eating'... wait..

*realizes you aren't asking about our personal dietary tastes...*

Oh! Browser Cookies?? Are there really websites still *using* those?!

We prefer digital alchemy to digital surveillance. Our sites remember what matters (your reading preferences, accessibility needs) while forgetting what doesn't (where you went afterward, what you bought, who you are in meatspace..).

"What's your SEO strategy?"

We create content so inherently valuable and semantically rich that even search engine crawlers can't help but check back frequently to see what's new! Instead of spending our time, money, and energy gaming algorithms, we speak their native language: structured data, meaningful markup, and genuine human value.

"Can you build something like [insert popular site]?"

Undeterminable... because even if it's very likely that we *could*... it is likely that it's likely that we probably actually *won't* - but the good news is that we can build something better: a digital experience that doesn't make you feel like a product being sold to advertisers.

We craft bespoke digital environments that enhance rather than exploit human attention. We don't do cookie cutter, we don't do imitation, and we definitely don't do 'played out'. generally, we try not to do what's been done, unless we can offer a genuinely unique take or enriching contribution.

"What's your content management system?"

Aw, 😢 That is extremely kind of you, Dear Hypothetical Guest! ..to say that you think our content is being "managed" - that's very sweet of you! lol! 😂🤣😂🤣

but seriously, to answer your question: The human brain, augmented by thoughtfully crafted schemas and semantic templates. Every piece of content is hand-forged by conscious beings who actually understand what they're creating.

"How do you measure success?"

By the quality of conversations our content generates. By the "aha!" moments readers experience. By the number of people who discover they're capable of more than they realized. Traditional metrics track eyeballs; we prefer consciousness expansion per capita.

"What makes you different from other publishers?"

We're not trying to capture attention - we're working to cultivate it. Our content doesn't compete for your focus; it may teach you how to focus better. We're building a digital monastery in an attention economy wasteland.

"Is this some kind of spiritual thing?"

It's whatever you need it to be, cosmic traveler. For some, it's advanced web development. For others, it's applied philosophy. For the truly initiated, it's practical magic disguised as semantic markup. The beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

"Can you explain your pricing structure?"

We operate on the cosmic principle of value circulation. Energy flows where attention goes, value flows where genuine care grows. Traditional pricing assumes scarcity; we're experimenting with abundance protocols.

*"But seriously, what do you charge?"*

That depends entirely on what we're co-creating and how it fits into the larger pattern of mutual enrichment. Let's talk about your vision first, and the logistics will self-organize.

"Do you offer revisions?"

We offer evolution. True creation isn't about getting something "right" - it's about allowing something to become what it needs to be. Our process is naturally iterative (and rarely entirely predictable), like consciousness itself.

"What if I don't understand the technical stuff?"

What if?

It may possibly be the case that the best collaborations happen when deep technical knowledge meets fresh perspective. You bring the vision and domain expertise; we bring the digital alchemy. There's a possibility that Magic happens in the intersection. I can think of one way we will for sure never find out.

"Is this compatible with [insert technology/platform]?"

We build by web standards that have been stable since before social media existed. Our approach is less concerned with compatibility and more about universality. If it reads HTML and understands CSS, it'll work beautifully.

"Can you guarantee results?"

Oh yeah! We can absolutely, unequivocally guarantee that we will not ever do nothing whatsoever... there WILL be *some* result, invariably. We can guarantee you'll end up with something more interesting than what you started with. We can promise the process will teach you something unexpected.

Beyond that, we're co-creating, here in actual life; dancing in the Liminal Zone of the Noosphere with the Mysterious Zeitgeist Herself, cosmic friend. Anyone who pretends to know what will happen for sure is a world class fool or a pathological liar!! But again, I can only really think of one way we will for sure never find out.

"What's your privacy policy?"

We prefer it, thank you!

Hm? Oh, you mean with regards to our guests??

Well, ONLY because we aren't hypocrites (in an overwhelming majority of instances) we collect only exactly the data necessary to serve you better, nothing more. We don't EVER sell, share, or monetize your information because we're not pieces of shit and we're not in the surveillance business - we're in the consciousness elevation business (and the occasional t-shirt, coffee table book, or potential art installation or interactive digital experience) - and surprisingly enough, it doesn't actually require surveilling our guests or tracking them outside of our realm 🤷🏾‍♂️.

"Are you accepting new clients?"

We're always open to cosmic collaborations with aligned beings. Whether we're the right fit depends less on our availability and more on the resonance between your vision and our capabilities. Let's find out together.

The Creative Collective: What We Actually Make 🎨

"So... what exactly IS The Indig Press?"

We're a community free press and creative collective. Not "free" as in "we'll publish anyone" - free as in "when we believe in you and your vision resonates with ours, there's no fee." We make money WITH our collaborators, not OFF them. We're here to be a benefit and resource to the community, paying the beauty forward wherever possible.

"What kind of things do you actually create?"

Our offerings exist in two realms: The Commons (completely free, community-serving content) and The Artifacts (premium, limited-edition, bespoke creations).

The Commons include:

  • - Digital experiences and interactive narratives
  • - Educational content and tutorials
  • - Community resources and tools
  • - Open-source creative frameworks
  • - Philosophical and artistic essays

The Artifacts include:

  • - Limited-edition coffee table books
  • - Art installations and interactive exhibits
  • - High-end collaborative merchandise
  • - Bespoke handcrafted works
  • - Personalized immersive digital experiences
  • - Cross-disciplinary multimedia projects

"Why is everything either free or expensive?"

Because we refuse to muddy the waters with artificial scarcity tactics. Knowledge, community resources, and tools for creative liberation? Those should be accessible to everyone - free as air! But genuine artistry, handcrafted beauty, and limited-edition collaborative works? Those have real value that we honor through intentional & mindful, but market-realistic pricing. We will never charge for things that are free, that wouldn't be fair! So by the exact same principle, we will never give away things that are genuinely rare and irreplaceably valuable. That wouldn't be truly fair, either! The paradox is the point.

"What makes your physical/digital goods 'extremely high quality'?"

Every piece is crafted by conscious beings who understand what they're creating. Our editor-in-chief is a musician, writer, poet, filmmaker, game designer, editor, annotator, and curator. Our collaborative network consists of creative, emotive, unique, cross-cultural, inter-disciplinary, multimodal individuals who are constantly searching for ways to push the envelope from the inside outwards and refuse to compromise on artistic integrity. When we say "limited edition," we mean genuinely scarce - not artificial scarcity, but the natural rarity that comes from handcrafted perfection.

"How do I become a collaborator?"

Well, it's not exactly "Don't call us, we'll call you"... it's just that we don't have any... like "application". So you don't (you can't really) apply - you *resonate*. Then when your creative vision aligns with our NeoPrimitivist ethos, when your work serves the greater good while maintaining artistic excellence, when the natural enthusiasm is palpable on both sides AND we can see a path where the mutually beneficial synergy makes sense and nobody feels like anyone is out to het anything from anyone else -the collaboration emerges naturally. We seek artists, thinkers, creators, and cosmic troublemakers who believe in mutual enrichment over individual extraction. Good vibes ONLY. We only follow resonance; we suggest you you do the same. So then we'll just have to see if we line up... So, with all of that said - please definitely do hit us up if you have a reason to do so and feel so moved - and we promise to do the same.

"What's coming next?"

Immersive narrative experiences that blur the line between literature and interactive media. Coffee table books that serve as both art objects and philosophical treatises. Art installations that exist simultaneously in physical and digital space. Collaborative multimedia projects that wouldn't fit into any existing category. We're building the infrastructure for post-digital creativity - where the medium serves the message, where technology enhances rather than replaces human connection, where every creation is both deeply personal and universally resonant.

"Do you take commissions?"

We take cosmic collaborations. If you're looking for someone to execute your exact specifications, there are many talented service providers who can help you. If you're looking for co-creators who will help your vision evolve into something more beautiful than you imagined possible... let's talk.

"How do limited editions work?"

When they're gone, they're gone. No reprints, no "special re-releases," no diluting the magic. Each limited work exists in a specific moment of creative collaboration and carries that temporal energy forever. Expect them to go quickly. Expect them to be priced accordingly. Expect them to be utterly unique.

"How will I know when new limited editions drop?"

As 'they' often say: "Stay Tuned", cosmic traveler! Check back frequently, sign up for our mailing list (if you can find it) - and by all means: follow the artists & community members whose work speaks to you. Most things will probably be announced ahead of time... but then again, some probably also might not. 🤷‍♂️ We operate on the delightfully chaotic principle of "snooze you lose" - because honestly, it's more fun this way, innit? We figure that the people who really give a fuck will naturally stay connected to the community pulse. The rest? Well, there's always the next cosmic creation coming down the pipeline. *Consider it a gentle filtering mechanism for identifying those who are truly aligned with the frequency of what we're building. Also, see above RE: the Press' 'CMS'. 😁*

*"Any other questions your conventional mind can generate, our unconventional approaches can probably address. The real question is: are you ready for answers that might change how you think about digital existence?"*
